EASTERN, WESTERN HPDs IN ACTION;

WASHINGTON CHAMP GOETZ ADDS EXCLAMATION POINT!

Virginia and California share the spotlight in USAC HPD Midget action this week with the Eastern and Western Dirt series continuing their 2014 campaigns.

Saturday’s Eastern race is at Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, Va. while Western Dirt races are slated Friday and Saturday nights at the Lemoore (Calif.) Raceway.

Chase Goetz of Snohomish, Wash. scored his 10th USAC Washington HPD victory of 2014 Saturday night as the series concluded at Grays Harbor Raceway. In wrapping up the championship Goetz led all 25 laps to beat Garrett Thomas, Jeremy Miller, Michael Vollbrecht and Lance Sargent. Award winners Saturday were Lance Sargent (SPEEDMART Hard Charger), Todd Hartman (Highline Performance), Tristin Thomas (Earhof Fast Time) and Nic Larson (Emma Lanes).
